Clear the Air Challenge
Engaging Thousands of Utahns to Improve Air Quality
TravelWise, a UDOT program, and the Salt Lake Chamber sponsor an annual, four-week competition in which they challenge Utahns to alter their driving habits to improve air quality. With the Clear the Air Challenge Utah environmental marketing campaign in its seventh year, Penna Powers has leveraged community outreach, special events, social media, press tours and a comprehensive print, outdoor, collateral and interactive advertising campaign to support this challenge. The program has been recognized nationally for its efforts in environmental marketing.
Smog Spotter
Spot the Smog; Stop the Smog
In an effort to decrease pollutants from vehicle emissions in Nevada’s air, the Smog Spotter program enables Nevada residents to report smoking vehicles to the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles. Penna Powers created an environmental marketing campaign that included a new brand identity, logo and website. Whether at home, walking through a parking lot or riding shotgun in the car, Nevadans were asked to be “Smog Spotters” and report smoking vehicles.
UCAIR (Utah Clean Air)
Show UCAIR About Utah’s Air
Utah’s air quality has always been of great interest to Utahns. In order to improve our air, Utahns need to work together. As such, the Utah Clean Air Partnership (UCAIR) launched a 2015 winter inversion campaign that introduced clear actions that everyday Utahns can make to help clean our air. This Utah environmental marketing campaign made it easy for many Utahns to make simple changes that would benefit everyone.
